Professor Pam Thomas is the CEO of the Faraday Institution, the UK’s flagship energy storage research organisation. Its mission-inspired programme is delivered by a consortium of over 20 universities and 50 businesses, including 450 researchers. Prof Thomas was formerly Pro Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Warwick, where she leads the Ferroelectric Crystallography Group in the Department of Physics. As a scientific leader, she is a member of the STFC Council and has served as a trustee of both the Turing Institute and the Faraday Institution. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a DPhil in physics from Oxford University.
